A little bit about Woods & Water PD 水林間

The single-story, 3 bedroom, 4,000 sq ft country villa was originally designed and built as a small weekend retreat for the owners, who are marine biologists and naturalists. Hence the activities offered revolve very much around the natural living resources found in Port Dickson. Being avid cooking aficionados as well, a large, well equipped open-air wet kitchen was an integral part of the design where gourmet food or just simple but delicious kampung cuisine could be churned out in a jiffy and in copious amount. Complemented by a banquet-size living and dining area the place is capable of hosting corporate and private parties and celebrations. That said the tranquil surroundings also make this place a quiet retreat and getaway where one can still wake up to the melodious chirping of birds every morning and watch squirrels jumping from trees to trees.

The house itself is built from tropical hardwood species, most being the termite-resistant such as cengal, merbau and temak. The 18 pillars are themselves heartwood from trees that had undergone submersion for more than 30 years in a dam up north.

How to get there: Find Shell petrol station Teluk Kemang near the roundabout and proceed on the road leading into Bandar Sunggala. We are 4.8km from the petrol station so just stay on the Sunggala road all the way until you start seeing our arrow signages "WW  km". that will guide you in to our place. You will also pass an orang asli village and an Indian temple on your right. The temple is 1.3 km away from our place. In between you will notice honey dew farms on both sides of the road. There will be one last signage that says  "WW 300m" at a fork (take left ) before you arrive.
